Must try Burgers in Mangalore
“When life throws you a burger, wait for the fries and then, of course, eat it.”. Our love for burger’s is huge, and Mangalore has great variety of beautiful, amazing burgers which sadly isn’t as famous as it should be. Hence we have taken this opportunity to show you some of the must try Burgers in Mangalore.
Everybody loves a burger with a perfectly grilled juicy patty, smeared with a signature sauce, melting cheese and with the perfect combination of fresh crispy veg toppings giving one an ultimate combination of crunchy, juicy salty, sweet, creamy and tangy experience. This nutriment served between soft but sturdy buns shall rarely disappoint one. With increasing demand for burgers amongst the people, almost every restaurant or cafe in Mangaluru serves you with burgers and most of them without even considering the key ingredients that a burger should have and sometimes are very inconsistent. What tempts my palate took upon the task of finding the best burgers in Mangaluru that meets all the criteria that a standard burger should have i.e. presentation, taste, value for money and conclusively came up with a list of “THE TOP 10 BURGERS IN MANGALURU”
10) New Deli Spl Burger at New Deli Cafe, Hoigebail, Urwa, Mangalore.
Located at Hoigebail, urwa, New deli cafe has this budget friendly, stomach filling burger. the burger is impressive compared to many cafe’s and restaurants that did not make the list. It contains the amazingly nice piece of double crispy fried chicken, like the kfc burger but this is value for money spent along with the classic French fries. The let down for me in this would be softer and flavourful or seasoned buns and a special sauce that it lacked. The burger is priced at Rs. 100, reasonable for every customer.

9) Ideals Veg Burger at Ideals cafe, K.S Rao Road, Mangalore.
Ideals Cafe, located at K.S Rao Road, Mangalore. Ideals have a well-established name in serving the best ice creams in Mangalore and they don’t let you down even in the food department. The ideals cafe veg burger is simple, small and absolutely tasty. They don’t have good presentation although they should, as ideals is a Brand in Mangalore, but that might be the only negative. This simple burger stands out because of their special sauce, and makes the whole thing better. Its reasonably priced at just Rs.75, and i don’t really like Veg burgers, but this might be an exception.

8) Lamb cheese burst burger at Brick house, Falnir, Mangalore
The Lamb cheese burst burger at Brick house, Falnir, Mangalore. Their presentation was simple, very appealing and we liked it, the melting cheese was the highlight. Although it says cheese burst burger, the patty wasn’t filled with cheese in it or had any bursting cheese out of it. The lamb patty was big and fat, And tasted very good cause of the melting cheese, priced at 190 rs, not very reasonable to us, as we would like to see something more going on there in this burger.

7) Pulled Pork Burger at Diesel Cafe, Balmatta, Mangalore
Diesel Cafe located at Balmatta, Mangalore shows off with the Pulled Pork Burger. This was one among the best presented burgers to us till date. Amazing looking sloppy joe look,With Barbeque pork, fresh lettuce and a slice of pineapple, loved the ingredients in it, everything was our favourite, except for the sauce. Which was the only let down, otherwise this well presented burger would have been our favourite. Being priced at 275 rs, we did not get our money’s worth in taste. But given diesel cafe’s ambience and the presentation that’s one gorgeous looking burger.

6) Grilled Chicken Burger with Onion Relish at Grubbery, Deralakatte, Mangalore
Grubbery located at deralakatte, Mangalore . Grilled chicken burger with onion relish has many positives like the lovely structured presentation which highlighted the main ingredients. the burger patty was upto the mark but the let down was the onion relish to us. It did not compliment the burger as it was supposed to, also another let down was that we did not feel it was worth 240 rs, as the burger was small in size.
Presenation: 7/10 Taste: 7/10 Value for Money: 7/10
5) KFC Burger at Prax, Kadri, Mangalore.
Prax is located at kadri near Mangala hospital is famous for their Kfc Burger. Popular amongst the Mangaloreans as its one of the few oldest burger outlets of Mangalore. A lot has changed over the years, Amidst a lot of criticisms from people that the taste and the quantity of the Prax KFC burger are not like it was, we made sure that we try it. yes, we were disappointed with the size of the kfc fried chicken in our burger. They changed it upon request, and now that we got a good satisfying piece of chicken, i can happily say that it tastes even better now than it used to, not sure if they changed something or the nostalgic feeling that’s making it taste better. The fried chicken was very crispy and as it tore off very easily. The chicken had the spicy flavour which was our favourite part about it. Although i hope that the quantity does not reduce, otherwise the burger might just be a joke. Priced at Rs 75, its worthy of the money spent.

4) Sunny side up Burger at Blue Delicacies, Vamanjoor, Mangalore
The Sunny side up Burger or as Chef Vincent Britto, the maker of this burger calls it, the Bull’s eye Burger is from Blue Delicacies, Vamanjoor inside St.Joseph’s Engineering College Campus and makes it to #4. This burger was specially made for the students as chef Vincent encountered a lot of students coming to the college from the city usually skipping their breakfasts. Priced at just Rs.80, this burger contains signature juicy chicken patty along with some creamy coleslaw and a soft boiled egg on top of it. As we take a bite the runny yellow serves as a secret sauce, and makes it a triple delight.

3) Freddie XXL at Mangala Bar & Restaurant, Valencia, Mangalore.
Mangala Bar and Restaurant located opposite Fatima retreat house, Valencia, Mangalore. Freddie XXL has been there for quite a while and also one among the most recommended items on the menu. The burger is very impressive with two choice patties, three layers of cheese, two strips of bacon and an omelette on top. In terms of taste, we loved this burger, as we had chicken and pork patties, which went so well along the crispy bacon and melting cheese. Each and every item on this burger is our favourite, and the size doesn’t matter, we devoured it within minutes. It has that element of giving us munchies as we eat it. Given its size, this is the hugest burger in Mangalore priced at rs 350. Although priced high it lacked presentation, burger being assembled as it is, does not look very appealing, even though it has a classic burger look, along with the small plate and chips, given at this price you would expect more, but then again did not matter much to us. Burgers like Freddie XXL should be more encouraged in Mangalore which gives you an ultimate burger feeling.

2) Chimi Churri Chicken burger at Diesel Cafe, Balmatta, Mangalore

When it comes to taste, the chicken patty is packed with this amazing cilantro flavour, which without any suprise goes so well. It terms of taste and presentation we loved this burger. This burger is priced at 245 rs, given the skill and hardwork put into this fine burger, its definitely worth it

1) Chicken Steak Burger at Brio cafe, St. Aloysius College Road, Mangalore
Chicken Steak Burger at Brio Cafe and grill located near St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, at Rs 175 is absolutely worth it. Burgers are usually considered unhealthy but one would not feel the same when one would try this burger. The main reason for this burger to make it to the top of the list is because of its perfectly grilled tender and juicy marinated chicken with cheese on the top, the chicken steak is very light and tears off easily, packed full of flavourful herbs. the well placed ingredients as we could taste each and everyone of them and the soft and buttered buns make it even better. The burger is an absolute worth it winner.
